The ICU Resident is responsible for all patients and clinical decisions in the ICU/IMCU.
They will also write notes on any ICU/IMCU patient if there has been a significant management decision or intervention.
Notes should also be written for documentation of a procedure, a Code blue, or a DNR status.
Present ALL new admissions to the Medicine or FMS attending on call.
The ICU resident will be the 1st resident position on any code blue. The ER or Medicine physician will be the primary team leader and provide guidance to the ICU resident in the management of the code blue.
10PM – Whoa!!! Sign out to night float resident – Please be specific and detailed…remember or appreciate the thankless job of being night float.
